Would like to admire a masterpiece of the same level of the Roman Sistine Chapel, but in Milano?
Here it is: the stunning 16th-century frescoed interior of the San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore in Corso Magenta one of the most elegant Milan street.
Once attached to an important female convent of the Benedictine Order, the former monastery has since been transformed into an archaeological museum. The church itself remains free to visit and services are held every Sunday.
Go and look at the amazing ceiling and the wonderful walls: entrance is free and the church is 10/15 minutes walking from Cook in Milano!
